WHAT MADE YOU CREATE GIVE IT GAS MAGAZINE?
Having access to quality press when releasing music was a problem for artists I worked on records with. The blog or magazine required submissions using a publicist. The later route usually wasn't in the artist's budget. I'm a multimedia specialist so, I have web design experience. Therefore, I decided to execute the idea. The name came from a conversation that some friends and I were having, Duke Stigall said: "we need to give it gas" I asked him immediately can I use that for an idead fast forward to 5 years later and we're moving on it.
WHEN CREATING GIVE IT GAS MAG., WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?
The inspiration behind it was creating a quality platform that specializes in rolling out full press packages at a price point that fits in an upcoming artist's budget. Also, creating content that draws in readers that love discovering new artists.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR TURNPIKE?
We're going into the studio with the independent label All Out Ent., to work on a 6 song collaboration. "GIGMAG x AOE" that's just the working title. That's what's next for me.
